Neuchâtel police arrest 70-year-old man for possession of crystal meth

Police have seized drugs in the form of crystal meth with a market value of 75,000 francs in the Neuchâtel Jura region. A man aged about 70 years was arrested.
The arrested person is a man residing outside the canton, the Neuchâtel police said Thursday. In his car and during the search of his house, the police found 380 grams of crystal meth and a sum of over 20,000 francs in cash on Sunday.
The man was questioned by the police and the public prosecutor's office and subsequently taken into custody. Criminal proceedings will be initiated against him for serious violations of the Narcotics Act.
