New landslide in Val d’Anniviers in Valais

Another rockfall has occurred in Valais: In Val d'Anniviers on Friday morning, a 1.3-ton boulder smashed through a road gallery on the Siders-Vissoie cantonal road. The road was already closed a few days ago due to a similar incident.
The Valais authorities confirmed to the Keystone-SDA news agency a corresponding report on the website of the Valais daily newspaper "Le Nouvelliste".
Damage was also reported below the road. Another block weighing 8 to 10 tons collapsed into the valley. Measures were taken to prevent pollution from the ruptured sewers.
