The canton of Graubünden got off lightly despite heavy rainfall on Saturday and in the night to Sunday. There was no significant damage, said the cantonal police on Sunday at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency.
There was a small drop in the level at Mesocco, but this did not have any major impact.
The federal government warned of heavy precipitation in parts of Graubünden on Saturday. The warning for heavy precipitation of danger level 3, considerable danger, is valid until Sunday evening.
According to the natural hazard portal, warning level 3 means that localized flooding is possible. Landslides may also occur on steep slopes. The Federal Office of Meteorology (MeteoSwiss) advises people to avoid riverbanks. Cellars and basements should not be entered when there is a risk of flooding.
