No Violation of the St. Gallen Burka Ban

The Canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland has had a burka ban in place for five years, but it has never been enforced. Neither the police nor the prosecutor's office have received any complaints or reports of burka-wearing in the past five years, and no one has been fined for wearing a burka, nikab, or similar clothing. In 2018, the citizens of St. Gallen voted in favour of the burka ban with a 66.7% majority, and it came into effect on 1 January 2019. Despite the ban, no one has been penalised for wearing a burka or similar clothing in the Canton of St. Gallen.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
