Police Arrest Auto-Check Fraudsters in Multiple Cantons

The police have uncovered an auto inspection fraud ring in several cantons, arresting a dozen suspects including a vehicle expert and several car dealers. The suspects are accused of falsely inspecting old cars and reselling them in different cantons. According to the Zurich prosecutor's office, they are suspected of fraud, forgery and, in the case of the vehicle expert, official misconduct. A total of thirty people are believed to have been involved in the fraud ring.
The police have arrested a dozen suspects in the cantons of Zurich, Aargau, Bern and Solothurn. They are accused of falsely inspecting old cars and reselling them in different cantons. The suspects face charges of fraud, forgery and, in the case of the vehicle expert, official misconduct. A total of thirty people are believed to be involved in the fraud ring.
