President Amherd meets counterparts at European summit

The summit of European heads of state and government opened in the UK on Thursday morning. Switzerland is represented by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd.
Representatives of 47 European states and the institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are meeting at Blenheim Palace near the English city of Oxford. The occasion is the fourth meeting of the European Political Community (EPC).
The EPG is a forum to promote political dialog and cooperation on the European continent. The agenda included talks on further aid for Ukraine, the fight against illegal migration and security and energy issues.
