Last week, the Federal Council appointed Ruedi Noser as a new member of the Board of Directors of Swiss Export Risk Insurance (Serv). The FDP politician, who represented the canton of Zurich in the Council of States from 2015 to 2023, will take office at the beginning of next year, as announced by Serv on Thursday.

Noser succeeds Christian Etter, who will leave the Serv Board of Directors at the end of the year, the statement continued. In addition, the Federal Council confirmed Barbara Hayoz, Chair of the Board of Directors, and all other current members of the Board of Directors for the term of office from 2024 to 2027.

Since 2020, Hayoz has been president of the federal government's public-law institution, which insures the export transactions of Swiss companies with goods or services, primarily against payment defaults.
