Saskia Schenker to head new association “Prio.Swiss”

The first director of the new Swiss health insurers' association "Prio.Swiss" will be Saskia Schenker. The current director of the Employers' Association of the Basel Region has been appointed by the heads of the health insurers involved in "Prio.Swiss".
According to a press release issued by "Prio.Swiss" on Wednesday, the political scientist and economist from Basel has been appointed Director on the recommendation of a search committee. Schenker was Deputy Director and Head of Health Policy at the health insurance association Curafutura from 2017 to 2020.
"Prio.Swiss" is due to start operating at the beginning of 2025 and was founded by Switzerland's largest health insurers in early summer. In future, the new association will speak on behalf of all health insurers. Since a split in 2013, there are currently two health insurance associations, Curafutura and Santésuisse.
