Snowfall again caused problems for buses in the city of Berne

Due to the snowfall, there were interruptions and delays on the Bernmobil public transport network on Monday morning. Various bus routes were temporarily suspended. The situation began to calm down around 09:00.
Only route 162 to Münsingen was still interrupted due to slippery snow. There were still delays on three bus routes. The streetcars were all running normally.
Snow and ice on the roads can be a challenge for buses and streetcars in Bern, especially on steeper sections. What's more, buses are sometimes obstructed by other road users who get stuck in the snow.
The onset of winter about a month ago led to longer interruptions at Bernmobil. At that time, Bernmobil had to stop all bus services. The streetcars ran as best they could. Many commuters had to be patient or put up with long walks.
