“Survey Shows Federal Councillor Viola Amherd Delivering Best Work”

Viola Amherd, the Swiss Federal Councilor for Defence, has been given the highest rating in a recent survey conducted by the Institute Leewas on behalf of Tamedia and 20 Minuten. This result is consistent with the one from February, when she was also rated the highest. President Alain Berset came in second place, followed by Energy Minister Albert Rösti and Federal Councilor Karin Keller-Sutter. Guy Parmelin and Ignazio Cassis followed, with the lowest rating going to Federal Councilor Elisabeth Baume-Schneider. In terms of support for re-election in December 2023, Viola Amherd again led the rankings with 60% of respondents in favour. Albert Rösti came in second with 54%, followed by Karin Keller-Sutter with 53%. The overall satisfaction with the work of the Parliament and the Federal Council has decreased slightly since February, with 48% and 54% of respondents respectively being satisfied.
