Swiss will not be flying to Rotterdam after all. The flights from Zurich originally planned from February 23 have been canceled without replacement for the time being. The airline actually wanted to invest in the destination in the long term and expand its flight offering to the Dutch port city over time.
Unfortunately, contrary to expectations, no take-off and landing slots have been allocated at Rotterdam Airport for the 2024 summer flight schedule, Swiss announced on Friday. This means that long-term planning is currently not possible. The route will therefore not be included in the program for a few weeks.
The airline is offering affected passengers a refund of the ticket price on request. Otherwise, flights to Amsterdam will be rebooked. Swiss will continue to serve the Dutch capital. There will be 31 flights a week to Amsterdam in the winter timetable and 33 in the summer timetable from March 31.
