Swiss Large Corporations Seek Less Staff

In July, the 50 largest companies in Switzerland had 8561 job openings on their websites, 1.7% fewer than in June and 7.4% fewer than a year ago. Companies such as Migros (-11.6%), Implenia (-24.5%) and Nestlé (-14.9%) had fewer job openings than in June. On the other hand, Fenaco Genossenschaft (+9.3%), SBB (+26.5%) and Coop (7.7%) had more job openings. The most sought-after positions were management and logistics. Compared to last autumn, when the number of job openings was particularly high, the number of job openings has steadily decreased. Overall, the number of job openings in Switzerland's largest companies decreased in July compared to June and the same period last year. Companies such as Migros, Implenia and Nestlé had fewer job openings, while Fenaco Genossenschaft, SBB and Coop had more. The most sought-after positions were management and logistics. The number of job openings has decreased since last autumn.
