The majority of complementary licensed radios have left their association Unikom due to its opening for mandatory local radios without a license. These radios have since taken over the majority in the association and voted out all representatives of the complementary, non-profit licensed radios from the board. This happened at the delegate assembly at the end of April. As the new majority cannot be changed, the radios see no future with Unikom and the trust relationship with the board is no longer present. Therefore, Kanal K (Aarau), Radio 3fach (Luzern), Radio Rabe (Bern), Radio Rasa (Schaffhausen), Radio Stadtfilter (Winterthur) and toxic.fm (St. Gallen) announced their departure on the 30th of September, following Radio X who had already left at the members assembly. Together with Radio X, they plan to reorganise and have a common interest representation. Complementary, non-profit radios in agglomerations have the task to consider linguistic and cultural minorities in their broadcasting area. In return, they receive access rights: operators of DAB+ platforms and cable networks must broadcast their programs. In contrast to the complementary, mandatory radio operators do not have a performance mandate and do not need a license.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
