The "NZZ" comments on the outcome of the Ukraine peace conference on the Bürgenstock NW as follows:
"The summit on the Bürgenstock did not advance peace. The organizers and participants are trying to sugarcoat it, but it would be more important to be realistic. (...) The conclusion for Switzerland as host is simple: It has proved its worth as a platform for major diplomatic events and has thus been cast in a favorable international light. (...) The answer is different when it comes to the political substance. (...) There are no new, consensual models for how peace could be achieved. (...) This kind of conference diplomacy is therefore not the best way to achieve peace. It is much more convincing to strengthen Ukraine militarily and economically so that it can resist Russian aggression and is not incorporated by Russia."
