In the last 30 years, the political landscape of Switzerland has changed significantly. The Swiss People's Party (SVP) has seen its voter share increase from 11.9% to nearly 29%, almost tripling its support. This has caused a shift to the right in the country's political landscape, making the right-wing drift a normal occurrence. To solve the biggest political problems in Switzerland, such as those in the climate, energy, social, immigration and European policies, a coalition of reason is needed, consisting of the FDP, Mitte, GLP, SP and Green parties. This would be a major shift in the political landscape of Switzerland. To achieve this, the other parties must come together and form a coalition of reason. This would be the only way to solve the biggest political problems in the country.
