TREND: Bourgeois candidates in the lead in Uri

In the second round of voting for the cantonal government of Uri, the two conservative candidates are in the lead after 15 of the 19 municipalities have been counted. The newcomers Georg Simmen (FDP) and Hermann Epp (center) each have over 3,600 votes, the incumbent Dimitri Moretti (SP) has just under 2,200 votes.
Among the municipalities not yet counted are Altdorf and Erstfeld. Moretti, who is fighting for his re-election and for the SP to remain in government, is likely to make up votes against his rivals in these municipalities.
