Two men charged with attempted murder in Ticino

The public prosecutor's office in Ticino has charged two men with attempted murder. During an argument, the 40-year-old Italian and the 60-year-old Spaniard allegedly inflicted a serious head injury on a Moroccan citizen.
The fight took place last Wednesday in an apartment in Lugano, the Ticino public prosecutor's office and cantonal police announced on Monday. The 56-year-old victim suffered a head injury from a blunt object. He had to be taken to hospital.
In addition to attempted murder, the two men living in the Lugano region are also accused of grievous bodily harm and assault. The role of a 28-year-old Gambian citizen is also being investigated in connection with the dispute. The man was questioned and has since been released, according to the press release.
