UBS has "taken note" of Finma's decision to waive competition law requirements. In a statement on Wednesday, the big bank emphasized that, according to Finma, there is no dominant market position that could eliminate effective competition. According to UBS, the Competition Commission (ComCo) has also found no concrete reason to intervene.
The bank will continue to work for a fair environment, it added. "We will continue to promote a dynamic, competitive and fair environment, implement our integration plans and remain a pillar of economic support for Switzerland and the communities in which we live and work," the press release states.
