Up to 800,000 viewers watched Nemo's victory in the final show of the Eurovision Song Contest on all SRF platforms. According to an analysis by SRF and Instar Analytics, around 614,000 people watched the live broadcast at the same time.
This corresponded to a market share of 53.3 percent in Switzerland, as announced by Swiss Radio and Television (SRF) in its newsletter on Monday. This was the largest market share ever for a broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) by SRF's portals and TV stations, it added.
Among the younger TV audience aged between 15 and 59, the figure was as high as 59%, according to SRF. The aftershow and press conference were also watched by almost 70 percent of the total audience late at night.
The semi-final last Thursday had already met with great interest. On average, 472,000 people watched Nemo's entry into the final of the ESC on SRF. This corresponded to a market share of just under 40 percent. The ratings for the semi-final were at the same level as the finals in recent years, according to the statement.
