VCS: “Saving with the lawnmower” not acceptable

The Swiss Transport Club (VCS) has criticized the Federal Council's savings plans as "unacceptable". Around 300 million in public transport and almost 500 million in climate protection: this is "saving with a lawnmower".
In view of global warming and the urgent need for a turnaround in transportation, these plans are "untenable", according to the VCS. The transport club is particularly disturbed by the fact that the freeways are to be expanded with 5.3 billion and this amount is not questioned "with a single syllable".
