“Watson” on the health initiatives

The news portal "Watson.ch" commented on the rejection of the two health initiatives as follows:
"The miracle has not been repeated. Three months after the surprisingly clear Yes to the 13th AHV pension, the SP's premium relief initiative was clearly rejected. It is a return to normality in social policy. (...) The centrist party's cost brake fared even worse. (...) Health policy is a complex matter, while a supplementary AHV pension is understandable for everyone. This contributed to the rejection of premium relief. First and foremost, however, it failed because only part of the population would have benefited from the 10 percent cap. However, financing it, presumably through higher taxes, would have affected everyone. Once again, the personal purse has won the day."
