Will Post Take Over Quickmail and Quickpac?

The Swiss Post intends to acquire the two Swiss logistics companies Quickmail and Quickpac. Due to the ongoing decline in mail volumes and intense competition in the parcel market, the two companies could no longer survive independently, the Post announced on Thursday. They had therefore actively sought buyers. The Post can ensure the continuation of services for customers with the acquisition, as well as take advantage of existing synergies and better utilise its logistics. The acquisition is planned "as soon as possible" but must first be approved by the Competition Commission (Weko).
