Woman and man found dead in Neuchâtel apartment

Police found an elderly couple dead in an apartment in Colombier NE on Wednesday. Investigators seized a firearm at the scene.
The Neuchâtel emergency center was notified in the morning by people who were worried about the couple who lived in Colombier, according to the cantonal police and the Neuchâtel public prosecutor's office. A police patrol then gained access to the apartment and discovered the two dead people inside.
The causes and circumstances of the elderly couple's death were initially unknown. The public prosecutor's office initiated a criminal investigation.
