Woman dragged by car and injured in Zurich during argument

A woman was dragged by a car during an argument in Zurich's District 1 on Friday evening and seriously injured. The driver of the car was arrested, as the Zurich city police announced on Saturday lunchtime.

According to the police, there was initially a verbal altercation between the occupants of a parked car and the woman in question in the parking lot at Talackerstrasse 41.

She was standing right next to the car. The 60-year-old driver then drove off. The 50-year-old woman was dragged several meters and remained lying on the ground, according to the police.

Several passers-by administered first aid to the woman until the arrival of Zurich emergency services. She was eventually taken to hospital with serious injuries.

According to the police, it was still unclear on Saturday exactly how the aforementioned incident occurred. The police are looking for witnesses.
