Zurich Airport is on the home straight with the construction of its Indian subsidiary. In April 2025, Noida International Airport in the greater Delhi area will open its doors to passengers and airlines, as detailed in a press release issued on Monday.

As Zurich Airport had already announced in the past, the main construction work for the new airport will be completed by the end of 2024. In the first phase, Noida Airport will have a runway and a passenger terminal with ten stands on the building and a further 15 open stands. It is expected to handle 12 million passengers a year.

According to the press release, the project team is working closely with the total construction contractor Tata Projects Limited and other specialist companies "to ensure the pace of construction activities and preparations for operational readiness". According to current forecasts, the planned investment sum of 750 million Swiss francs will be adhered to.

Zurich Airport has been awarded the concession for the Indian airport in 2021. It runs for 40 years.
