The Zurich district court sentenced an FCZ fan for trespassing on Wednesday: Photos show that it was the 22-year-old who stormed onto the Letzigrund tartan track after a derby against GC wearing a mask.
The court sentenced the Swiss national to a fine of 120 daily rates of 90 francs. The fine is deferred in favor of a probationary period of four years.
The accused denied the allegations on Wednesday. He was not really active in the south curve, he said. His defense lawyer argued that the masked person on the video recordings could not be identified as his client. A mere resemblance was not enough.
For the court, however, the photographic documentation produced by the city police proved that the 22-year-old had been in the stadium for the football derby in October 2021 and had taken part in the stampede immediately after the final whistle. "There remains no doubt."
