Zurich hotels and campsites practically fully booked due to “Swifties”

The two concerts by US superstar Taylor Swift on July 9 and 10 at Zurich's Letzigrund have already had an impact on the hotel industry: Zurich hotels are practically fully booked on these two days, and the campsite in Wollishofen is completely full.
The two Taylor Swift concerts are "one of the focal points of the 2024 tourism year in Zurich", Michael Müller, spokesperson for Zurich Tourism, told SRF Radio's "Regionaljournal Zürich-Schaffhausen" on Wednesday.
Numerous hotels are practically fully booked for July 9 and 10. Many "Swifties", as the mostly female fans call themselves, are apparently traveling by tent: The Wollishofen campsite directly on the lake is completely full on both concert days, as one of the people in charge told "Regionaljournal". The youth hostel is also experiencing "enormous demand", as they said when asked.
The two Zurich concerts on "The Eras Tour" have long been sold out. SBB is offering extra trains, and extra streetcars and buses are running in Zurich from Zurich main station to the stadium and back.
