Travelers hoping to fly in and out of Geneva Airport on what is one of the busiest travel weekends of the year may have to make alternate plans. The president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Geneva, Francesco Rocca, will step down from his role by the end of the year, according to an internal note recently leaked by Swiss media. The resignation appears to come after controversy surrounding Rocca’s conservative political beliefs bubbled up earlier this year. Mehr lesen.
Although not explicitly sanctioned, western companies have largely diminished trading Russian oil since the outbreak of war. Not so for Swiss-headquartered companies Gunvor and Vitol.
