Retour au fil d'actualité

The Swiss government is tackling the challenges posed by refugees in a calm, measured and constructive manner, according to Justice Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider. She sees no chaos or overwhelm, but rather people who are working hard to ensure that those seeking refuge in Switzerland can live in decent conditions. Baume-Schneider also highlighted the overwhelming solidarity that the Russian attack on Ukraine had triggered in Switzerland, showing that solidarity is a value that unites us as people, strengthens us as a society and encourages us to act as citizens. The Swiss government is committed to providing protection to those who need it, and to ensuring that everyone can participate in society. It also has a responsibility to tackle the causes of migration, such as human trafficking and climate change. Baume-Schneider is confident that the solidarity and responsibility shown by Switzerland in its handling of refugees will be reflected in the ballot box on October 22nd.nnnnnnnnnnnn
