On Saturday, a 13-year-old boy robbed a petrol station shop in Wil SG, stealing several thousand francs. He was quickly apprehended by the police. The suspect is a Serbian national, according to the St. Gallen Cantonal Police. The shopkeeper was closing the shop at around 10pm when the boy approached her with a knife and threatened her. She fled into the shop and the suspect followed her, forcing her to hand over money before fleeing. Several police patrols began searching for the suspect and he was arrested in the centre of Wil. The shopkeeper was unharmed. The juvenile court is now investigating the incident.
