Retour au fil d'actualité

In Biasca, Switzerland, the fire department has been called out 30 times on Sunday alone due to flooding in basements and lower levels. This area in the north of Ticino is one of the most affected areas of the severe weather. According to Meteoschweiz, 191.6 millimeters of rain per square meter have fallen in Biasca since Friday evening, while Meteonews reported locally up to 250 millimeters. This is more than the average for the whole of August. The area most affected by the heavy rainfall extends to Lodrino and Osogna. 50 firefighters are on duty. In Malvaglia, Val Blenio, a road has been closed due to a landslide. In Biasca itself, the Froda river has risen significantly and must be constantly monitored. If it overflows, the adjacent industrial area will be flooded.nnnnnnnnnnnn
