Retour au fil d'actualité

The Alps passes Furka, Susten, Grimsel, Gotthard, Simplon and Nufenen have been closed on Monday due to the heavy rainfall of the last few days. A reassessment of the situation will follow on Tuesday morning. The snowfall limit which has dropped to 2000 meters has had an impact on traffic, according to the Uri Baudirektion in a statement on Monday. Due to snow-covered roads, the Furka and Susten passes on the Urner side must be temporarily closed until Sustenbrüggli. The Grimsel, Simplon and Nufenen passes are also closed to all vehicles according to the TCS Switzerland website from Monday noon. The Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology (Meteo Switzerland) is currently warning of a danger level 4 in the cantons of Obwalden, Schwyz, Uri and Graubünden. The Cantonal Police of Ticino also announced via the X (formerly Twitter) short message service that the Gotthard Pass will be closed from Monday, 4 pm to Tuesday, 8 am due to bad weather.nnnnnnnnnnnn
