Around 1000 People Demonstrate Against Geothermal Project in the Jura

In Delsberg JU, around 1000 people demonstrated against a geothermal project. The demonstration was called by the association "Citoyens responsables du Jura" and was aimed at showing the government that the people are increasingly against the project and that their opinion must be heard. The project aims to produce electricity for around 6000 households by drilling five kilometers into the ground. The rocks at this depth are much warmer, and later cold water will be pumped down and warm water pumped up in pipes.
