Greenpeace Switzerland has called for a advertising ban on climate and environmentally damaging products from Coop and Migros. According to a study commissioned by Greenpeace, the two retailers and their subsidiaries are responsible for 16% of the advertising-related greenhouse gas emissions in Switzerland. Greenpeace argues that the two retailers should introduce binding advertising regulations, as not all advertising francs have the same impact on the climate. For example, an advertising franc for animal products causes four times more greenhouse gas emissions than one for vegan alternatives, yet animal products are advertised much more than vegan products.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
