Retour au fil d'actualité

The Swiss Post is planning additional cost savings of around 42 million francs. This will involve job cuts, but the exact number of employees affected has not yet been revealed. The cost savings will be implemented in the areas of finance, personnel, communication and information/technology, as well as in the office of Post CEO Roberto Cirillo. The Post expects that employees will be affected by the savings program, but it is not yet known how many. The Post also plans to reduce its spending on systems and other material costs. The exact measures will be worked out by the end of the year and implemented by 2024, with any potential negative effects of job cuts being offset by a social plan. The purchase of a forest in Eastern Germany for CO2 compensation, at a cost of more than 70 million francs, is not affected by the savings program. The Post's profit for the first half of 2023 had already halved compared to the previous year, to 118 million francs. An efficiency program in the logistics services area and the consolidation of office space had already been initiated before the recent announcements.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
