In the towns chosen as potential sites for a deep geological repository for radioactive waste in the Zurich lowlands, a pragmatic attitude has taken hold one year after the announcement of the decision. The mayors of the three directly affected towns, Stadel, Weiach and Glattfelden, along with Nagra CEO Matthias Braun, met to discuss the project's progress. Initially, the announcement of the proposed site was seen as a "bad omen" by the mayors, but a pragmatic attitude has since been adopted by the authorities. However, some members of the public remain critical of the project. According to Dieter Schaltegger, mayor of Stadel, 40% of respondents to an anonymous survey expressed a critical view.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
