Retour au fil d'actualité

The Canton of Valais in Switzerland has rejected a proposal to speed up the process for building large solar power plants in the Alps. On Sunday, 53.94% of the voting population voted against the decree of the Canton's government, with a turnout of 35.72%. This result means that the current regulations for building solar power plants in the Alps will remain in place, and that any new projects will have to go through the usual planning and approval process. This decision is a setback for those hoping to take advantage of the region's abundant solar energy resources, as it will likely take longer for new projects to be approved and built. However, it is also a victory for those who are concerned about the potential environmental impacts of such projects, as the current regulations provide more safeguards to protect the environment.nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
