Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Collision in Boltigen, BE

On Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a car in Boltigen BE. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for control. The head-on collision occurred shortly after 2 pm between Weissenbach and Reidenbach, according to the Bern Cantonal Police. The motorcyclist was travelling from Zweisimmen in the general direction of Thun when, for reasons yet to be clarified, they touched the side of a lorry travelling in the same direction while overtaking. As a result, they collided head-on with an oncoming car. Despite immediate rescue measures, the motorcyclist succumbed to their serious injuries at the scene.
