Unknown Persons Blow Up ATMs in Uesslingen TG

Unknowns have detonated an ATM in Uesslingen TG in the night of Thursday. According to the cantonal police, the perpetrators fled without any loot. The cantonal emergency call center received a report of a loud bang near the Volg on Schaffhauserstrasse shortly before 2.45am. The police arrived quickly and found the destroyed service building of the ATM. There are currently no clues to the perpetrators. As is usual with explosives offences, the investigations are coordinated with the federal authorities. ATM bombings have increased significantly in Switzerland in recent years. The unknowns usually strike in the middle of the night or in the early morning hours. In 2022, there were several dozen cases nationwide.
