Three Cantons Vote on Seven Proposals

On Sunday, Swiss citizens will vote on seven issues in three cantons. In Uri, five issues will be voted on, including the total revision of the energy law, the data protection law, the intercantonal agreement on contributions for medical training, the partial revision of the law on the Uri cantonal bank, and a loan of 1.68 million francs for the "Way of Switzerland" footpath. In Schwyz, the partial revision of the law on motor vehicle taxes will be voted on, which aims to reduce the tax burden on electric vehicles. In Solothurn, citizens will decide on the construction of a new central prison with 130 places for 120 million francs, which would replace the outdated prisons in Solothurn and Olten. If the people vote yes, the new prison could be operational in 2029.
