Green Party with Seven Seat Losses and SP with Two Gains

The Swiss Federal Election of 2021 saw the Green Party suffer a loss of seven seats, while the Swiss People's Party (SVP) gained eight additional seats in the National Council. The Social Democratic Party (SP) gained two seats, rather than the one predicted in the second forecast. The Green Liberal Party (GLP) lost five seats, bringing them to eleven, and the Middle Party gained two seats, bringing them to thirty. The Fusion of CVP and BDP overtook the Free Democratic Party (FDP), which lost half a percent and kept their twenty-nine seats. The SVP was the biggest winner, gaining eight seats and bringing them to sixty-one, almost making up for the twelve seats lost in 2019. The Party of Labour (PdA) and Ensemble à Gauche lost their one seat each, while the Geneva protest party MCG gained two seats. The Evangelical People's Party (EVP) lost their seat in the Aargau and now have two seats, while the EDU, affiliated with the SVP, gained one seat, bringing them to two. The Lega, also affiliated with the SVP, kept their one seat.
