Car driver leaves injured cyclist lying after accident in Basel

An accident between a car driver and a cyclist occurred in Basel on Tuesday. The driver then left the scene of the accident without taking care of the injured cyclist or the damage caused. He thus committed a hit-and-run, as the cantonal police announced on Wednesday.
The traffic accident occurred at Spalenring on the corner of Heinrichsgasse. The police are looking for the driver of the car as well as persons who can give information about the course of the accident.
