Restriction of rail traffic between Bern and Fribourg ended

The restriction on rail traffic between Bern and Fribourg was lifted again shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday evening. The reason for the disruption was track damage.
The restriction affected the Bern-Düdingen section of the line; there were delays and train cancellations on regional and long-distance services. Both long-distance and regional services were affected. Delays and possible cancellations were still to be expected in the evening, as Railinfo reported on its website.
