Telecom provider Swisscom reports disruption to its mobile network

Telecoms provider Swisscom experienced a disruption to its mobile network early on Thursday morning. The company announced that making calls via the mobile network, sending text messages and using the mobile internet was impaired for certain customers.
It was not initially known how long the disruption would last. According to the service Allestörungen.ch, people in cities including Zurich, Lucerne, Bern and Basel were affected. The Aargau authorities advised people to call emergency services via the landline network or another provider.
