In Lucerne criminal court on Tuesday, a former jewelry store employee denied any involvement in a robbery at the store in 2019. "I was not involved in any way", he said.

According to the public prosecutor, the 61-year-old had provided information on the security installations in the jewelry store on Schwanenplatz for the robbery, in which jewelry worth 20 million francs was stolen. He is to spend ten years in prison for this.

He did not know how the perpetrators had obtained the code to open the door to the staff entrance of the jewelry and watch store, the defendant explained. The criminal proceedings had done him a "great injustice". He is not in good health as a result and suffers from depression.
