British singer Morrissey is receiving treatment for "physical exhaustion". The former frontman of indie band The Smiths will remain in Zurich under medical supervision for the next two weeks, the BBC quoted a post on the 64-year-old's Instagram profile.

Morrissey was actually supposed to play two concerts in the US state of California on January 26 and 27. The occasion is the 20th anniversary of his album "You Are the Quarry" with hits such as "First of the Gang to Die" and "Irish Blood, English Heart".

Tour dates in South America in February have also been canceled on his homepage, the BBC further reported. It is not the first time that Steven Patrick Morrissey, who only uses his surname as an artist, has canceled appearances for health reasons. In 2014, he reported that he was being treated for cancer.
