Around 500 people demonstrated in Geneva on Saturday afternoon against the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the ten-year Russian occupation of Crimea.

The rally organized by Ukrainian associations with the support of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations (UN) to mark the second anniversary of the Russian invasion began at the Place des Nations, where numerous Ukrainian flags were flying.

The speakers expressed their conviction that this was not only the most destructive war in Europe since the Second World War, but that Russia also posed a major threat to the security of the entire European continent. The demonstration then moved through the city to Place de Neuve.

Several participants were wrapped in banners in the colors of Ukraine. Messages, often in English, could be read on signs such as "Russia is a terrorist state", "Putin is a murderer", "Stop the war, help Ukraine" or "Support Ukraine until victory".
