Fire destroys the interior of a restaurant in Wettingen AG

A restaurant kitchen on Landstrasse in Wettingen AG caught fire on Sunday night. The interior of the restaurant was destroyed by the flames and smoke. No persons were injured.
The fire was quickly extinguished, as reported by the Aargau cantonal police on Sunday. The apartments adjacent to the restaurant remained undamaged. The residents were able to return to their homes that same night. According to initial findings, the cause of the fire could be found in the deep-fat fryer area, the police said. An investigation has been launched.
