TREND: Yes majority in Baselland for the 13th AHV pension

In the canton of Basel-Landschaft, a clear yes to the initiative for a 13th AHV pension is emerging after 50 of the 86 municipalities have been counted. However, the proposal for an increase in the retirement age is likely to meet with a clear rejection.
61.1% of voters from the predominantly rural municipalities in the Upper Basel region that have been counted so far said yes to the 13th AHV pension. The initiative to raise the retirement age to 66 received 75.5 percent of no votes.
