150 people have to be evacuated in Winterthur due to threat

Around 150 people had to leave their homes in Oberwinterthur on Thursday because of a threat. The sender of the threat has not yet been caught. The police deployed a large contingent and cordoned off the area.
The threat was received by the police at 2 a.m., the cantonal police said on request. The authorities are not giving any details about the exact content. The sender of the threat has not yet been caught. The investigation is ongoing.
The evacuated houses belong to the Guggenbühl district in Oberwinterthur, not far from Oberwinterthur station. Rail traffic is not affected by the large-scale operation.
